Special thanks to Maleeah Kamal from KIVI TV News 6 who did a great story on our Adopt A Doll project.

We love dolls and want to provide dolls for girls in undeveloped or developing countries who may never have one in their lives.   Barbies and other twelve inch dolls as well as sixteen and eighteen inch dolls, have been a big part of our lives for a long time.  Even though we don’t play with them as much as we used to, we’ve kept all of our dolls so we can eventually share them with our own kids.

Unfortunately when many girls grow out of playing with dolls (which we think should NEVER happen!) they are not kept but donated to thrift shops or even thrown out.  Many of the used dolls never end up being purchased and are eventually tossed in the trash.  That’s why we are rescuing dolls from places where they are likely to end up in the crusher and then the landfill.  These used Barbies and other rescued dolls are cleaned, their hair is washed and if they don’t have an outfit, we dress them. Once they are all clean, we give the dolls to orphans, victims of natural disasters, or disadvantaged girls.   To others, these dolls might be “used” or even “trash” but to us, they are precious and ready to be part of a new family.

Completed Giving Projects

We’ve not only been able to give dolls locally but also have been able to send dolls to places like Puerto Rico, and as far away as Myanmar. Below you will find some of our completed doll giving projects as well as photos and any stories we have from the teams who have helped distribute our dolls to girls.

January and February 2018- More Dolls Headed to Puerto Rico

Our current giving project is again focused on Puerto Rico.  A team from Vineyard Boise there in the middle of January to help with ongoing relief work.  Ten more doll are headed there with the team.  Since the last team was able to bless so many girls and we were able to share in their smiles, we are again excited to see these dolls given into the hands of other local girls.   Thanks to the team for going to help- those in need and allowing us ot be even a small part of blessing the people of Puerto Rico.

Completed December, 2017- Barbie Dolls for Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief

Our current giving project is focused on Puerto Rico where in the beginning of December we’ll be sending 10, twelve inch Barbie dolls with a relief team who will pass them out to local girls.  We are really excited because this is our very first doll giving project!  Special thanks to Vineyard Boise and all the good people who have given their time and resources to go to Puerto Rico to lend a hand to those in need.   Our hope is the team can bring back some photos, which we will share as soon as we have them.

**UPDATE**

We received the below photos from the team in Puerto Rico who were able to give Barbie dolls to the two girls pictured and leave one for a girl as a gift when she returned home.  They’ll be distributing the remaining dolls over the next couple of days.  The smiles speak more than any words ever could and we are so blessed to have been able to take even a small part in bringing these girls some joy in the midst of all they have gone through.  Many thanks to the team members from Vineyard Boise who are tirelessly working to repair roofs as well as doing whatever is needed of them.  You guys are awesome!
